Rajma Curry


Rajma (Kidney beans) - 1 cup
(soak overnight, pressure cook with one cup
water and salt for three whistles.Keep aside)
Tomato puree -1/2 cup
Red Chilli pepper - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder -1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder -1 tsp
Sugar -1.2 tsp
Coriander leaves - a few sprigs
Onions -2 chopped
Fresh Cream -2 tbsps
Green Chillies -2 chopped
Ghee -2 tbsps
Ginger-parlic paste -2 tsps


1.Heat oil in a large bowl. Add onions, ginger-garlic paste, dry powders, sugar, salt, tomato puree. Cover it and microwave it at hight temperature for five minutes.

2.Take 50gms of cooked rajma, blend it a mixie and keep aside.

3.Add this paste to the first mix, add the remaining rajma with water, cover and microwave at a medium temperature for 10 minutes

4. In a small bowl, take 2 tbsps of ghee, add one chopped onion, microwave it at high temperature for 3 minutes.

5. Add it to the rajma, cover and again microwave for two minutes.

6.Garnish it with coriander leaves and let it stand for two minutes.
