Butter Cheese Pulao


  • 100gm paneer cut into cubes
  • 2 cup rice
  • 4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 black cardamom
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 small stick of cinnamon
  • 2 bay leaves


Clean wash and soak the rice in water for 1/2 an hour. Heat half the butter in a heavy-bottomed pan and fry panner cubes till they are light brown. Remove and keep aside. In the remaining butter, fry whole spices and onion to golden brown.

Drain the rice and add to the onions and fry for 2-3 minutes. Add water, salt and paneer cubes. Reduce the flames and cook covered till the rice is done and all water is absorbed. Serve hot.
